“One of the essential features of the child motif is its futurity. The child is potential future. literally theyre trying to make me insane they said dont worry the fact that everything willow says about the buffybot can also be applied to buffy is intentional they said willow thinks of buffy as something that can be fixed as something that can be good as new im thinking abt the end of s5 and literally buffy is catatonic and willow needs to snap her out of it and everyone talking in spiral about how buffy's cracking up and not herself and maybe that attitude never left, like the s6 energy of everyone wanting buffy to just be okay didnt start in s6 it started way earlier, it's everywhere through the whole series, it's in "when she was bad" and it's in "dead man's party" and it's in "spiral" through "the gift" and it's in all of s6 and it's in "selfless" and it's in "empty places" and HI ....

literally willow wants buffy to be good as new and what she means is the bubbly beautiful girl who swept into her life in "welcome to the hellmouth" and told willow to seize the day and changed her life and made her feel alive for the first time .... and i sure didnt mean to make this post about willow's high school crush on buffy when i started but that sure is where it ended up ....... willow just wants the same buffy back who she first knew because willow is buffy's spirit and if buffy is the same as she always was then that means willow gets to be right too and literally the way s6 is also about willow's spiral and willow's rock bottom and "the only time i was ever worth anything was when tara looked at me and i was wonderful" and "and now? willow's a junkie" and literally willow just wants them all to be good as new but there is no as new there's only now
